Ascend Tools 7-1/4 inch Medium Duty Professional Spring Loaded Multipurpose Angled Edge Shears

These PATENT PENDING 7-1/2" shears are sharp and are meant for clean cuts into a variety of soft materials where ordinary scissors would wear out quickly. Its blades are made of high carbon alloy steel from Japan (SUS 420J2) with heat treatment through a proprietary manufacturing process to harden (HRC 50-54) the cutting blades needed to last. One blade is micro-serrated to avoid slippage and the other can be sharpened to extend life. The spring loaded handles make these easy to use and the polypropylene handles with ergonomic over-molded TPR grips reduce hand fatigue. • APPLICATIONS: These 7 1/2-inch Multi-Purpose Shears will cut a variety of soft materials such as soft cable, thin foils (copper, aluminum, and brass), rope / cord, insulation, cardboard, wood dowels, arts and crafts, electrical wire and tape and a wide variety of other materials. These shears are perfect for tasks where sharp blades are required for precision cuts.
• EASE OF USE: Due to plier like form factor there is more cutting leverage thus requiring less force than normal scissors. The tang on the handles is long for efficient force transfer. Handles made from PP and TPR over-molded for a comfortable non-slip grip. The handles are ergonomic and ambidextrous.
• DESIGN: The shears are designed like a plier for easy handing and cutting. Spring loaded cutting reduces hand fatigue. For safety, a locking mechanism is provided.
• CONSTRUCTION: Made of High Carbon Stainless Steel, the cutting blades edges are hardened with heat treatment for durability. One blade sports fine serration along its edge to prevent slippage during cutting. The lock nut allows adjustment of blade tension to suit individual needs.
